Sugar Prices Gain on Limited Rain Prospects in Brazil

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK24) this morning is up +0.35 (+1.61%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK24) is up +12.00 (+1.91%).

Sugar prices this morning are moderately higher, with London sugar posting a 1-month high. Concerns about excessive dryness in Brazil have fueled short-covering in sugar futures today based on forecasts for limited rain over the next week in Brazil's Center-South, the country's main sugar-growing region.
