Sugar Prices Fall on Ramped-Up Sugar Output in Brazil

July NY world sugar #11 (SBN23) on Tuesday closed down -0.31 (-1.22%), and Aug London white sugar #5 (SWQ23) closed down -4.60 (-0.67%).

Sugar prices Tuesday posted moderate losses on ramped-up Brazil sugar production.  Unica on Tuesday reported Brazil's 2023/24 sugar production through May was up +37.7% y/y at 6.972 MMT and that the percentage of sugarcane crushed for sugar rose to 46.88% from 40.5% last year.
