Sugar Posts Moderate Gains on Strength in the Brazilian Real

July NY world sugar #11 (SBN23) on Thursday closed up +0.35 (+1.39%), and Aug London white sugar #5 (SWQ23) closed up +10.20 (+1.48%).

Sugar prices Thursday posted moderate gains.  Strength in the Brazilian real helped push sugar prices higher after the real (^USDBRL) Thursday rose to a 2-week high against the dollar.  The stronger real discourages export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
