Sugar Posts Moderate Gains on Global Supply Uncertainty

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH24) on Thursday closed up +0.23 (+1.10%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH24) closed up +6.30 (+1.05%).

Sugar prices on Thursday closed moderately higher on positive carryover from Tuesday on signs of smaller sugar production in India after the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories reported India's sugar production from Oct 1-Dec 31 fell -7.6% y/y to 11.2 MMT.
