Sugar Closes Higher as Weak Dollar Boosts Commodity Prices

Oct NY world sugar #11 (SBV23) on Wednesday closed +0.38 (+1.61%), and Aug London white sugar #5 (SWQ23) closed +8.40 (+1.24%).

Sugar prices Wednesday rallied moderately, with NY sugar posting a 2-week high and London sugar posting a 3-week high. A selloff in the dollar index (DXY00) Wednesday to a 14-1/2 month low was bullish for most commodity prices, including sugar.
