Sugababes announced as support act for Westlife Aviva Stadium gigs

Westlife have announced their support acts for their concerts in Dublin's Aviva Stadium on July 8 and 9 and Cork's Pairc Ui Caoimh on August 12 and 13.

A number of special guests have been announced, including The Sugababes.

The Push the Button hit makers will take to the stage before Westlife perform at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The iconic girl group will be made up of its original members.

Also announced to support Westlife in Dublin was Balbriggan singer Soule.

Meanwhile, Emeli Sande and Wild Youth will support Mark, Nicky, Kian and Shane before their Cork concerts.

The four stadium concerts were announced during a press conference in October of last year and the band promised that they will be their "biggest and best" yet.

Westlife's Shane Filan explained: "It's going to bring you through the 22 years of Westlife. It will be full of all of our hits but we want to freshen it up and make it a very exciting show for families.

"There are lots of different age groups going to these shows. We want the kids to enjoy it and think the show is cool. We want to make this our biggest and best show ever."

Nicky Byrne added: "This is a momentous occasion for all of us, not just necessarily the show but this morning, to be able to announce the show considering what we've all been up to for the past couple of years. It just feels so positive that we're moving forward and we're getting to a place, particularly for the Irish music scene, that shows can come back."

Westlife last performed together in 2020 when they played at Dublin's Croke Park on their Twenty Tour, which sold 600,000 tickets across 27 cities and 13 countries.

Westlife tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
