Home Secretary Suella Braverman has claimed nearly £25,000 over five years for her London home, an investigation has found. It claimed she was living rent-free with her parents while not there.
Ms Braverman claimed the money to cover energy bills and other costs for her main home. However, she stayed with her parents at no cost while in her constituency, a Mirror investigation has found.
It is within the rules, but, according to one MP, not "in the spirit" of them. Such expenses are in place so that MPs who live outside London are not out of pocket when running a second home closer to Westminster.
