Sue Cleaver wows with glam look on I'm A Celebrity as fans can't believe her real age

I'm A Celebrity's Sue Cleaver shocked fans with her glam look on the show last night (Nov 6) - with many saying they couldn't believe the actress' real age.

The star, who plays Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street, is 59 - but looked years younger as she made her debut on the ITV reality show.

Introducing herself, sporting a stunning blue jumpsuit with her hair coiffed to perfection, Sue said: "I've been on Corrie for nearly 23 years, it's a long time, I'm very old. I'm 59.

"I need to challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone, so this is my year of doing new things."

Viewers couldn't get over how good the star looked, with many taking to Twitter to compliment the mum-of-one.

One gushed "I love Sue! Also HOW is she 59?! She looks amazing #ImACeleb."

Another wrote: "Sue looks great for 59 #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity."

While a third shared: "Sue looks f**king amazing for 59. #ImACeleb."

The much-loved actress is one of Corrie's biggest stars, however ahead of her jungle stint Sue said her biggest fear is people preferring Eileen to her.

“This is the scariest part for me,” she explained. “I am a very private person and I am putting myself out there, which is what I am most nervous about.

“I do keep my life private and I am very happy with my home life.

“Viewers are going to see a different person to the person they think I am! I am very different. That can be worrying.

“They might decide they don’t like me as much as Eileen!”

Opening up about why she went on the show, the actress told us: "I don't feel it is my place to be a spokesperson for anybody really, but for myself. That's what I want to do, I want to get outside of my comfort zone.

"My son's grown up, I've got to the stage where my responsibilities are easing now and it's something for me and it's a time in my life when I really want to embrace this, the next period of my life.

"I feel in a good place. I feel in a really good place in myself and I think I've learned a lot about myself over the last decade or you know, last five years especially and I'm a work in progress and I am just looking forward to moving forward and how everything unfolds."

Sue is taking a break from Corrie while she deals with the critters Down Under, but Corrie fans needn't worry as she'll be back in the Rover soon.

Asked if she will stay on the soap as long as Bill Roache, who is now 90, she said: "Wouldn't that be incredible? Yeah. I think it's my 23rd year which is just crazy because it doesn't feel like that.

"We're in a business where a lot of the time there can be huge amounts of egos but I feel at Corrie definitely we are very much a huge team and you know, everybody needs each other across the whole of the production and it's a wonderful thing to be involved in."
