Sue Cleaver is all smiles as she arrives at plush hotel after I'm A Celebrity exit

Sue Cleaver has arrived back at a plush Gold Coast hotel after her I'm A Celebrity adventure ended last night.

The 59-year-old Coronation Street star left camp with a smile on her face and looked thrilled as she prepared for some five star luxury at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa.

Both the previous contestants to leave, Charlene White and Scarlette Douglas, said the first thing they did was spend ages washing in the bath and shower to get rid of the smell of smoke. Charlene admitted she had three showers before leaving her room to do interviews.

Back at the hotel, Sue will get to spend some quality time with husband Brian Owen and son Elliot Quinn.

Both were full of praise for her efforts on the show when they spoke last week at Brisbane Airport. At the time Brian said: "I can't wait to see her and to tell her how well she has done."

Speaking to Ant and Dec, actress Sue spoke of her relief at coming out of camp as she felt she had done as much as she could.

She said: "My time is done. Yes I am done! It is lovely watching it back, those guys are amazing. Camp life I have loved, but you can stuff your trials where the sun don't shine frankly."

She continued: "I had enough and hit a wall, it is the anxiety and not knowing and not having control over your life. That is so weird."

And when asked who she wanted to win, she said: "I am going for the girl, I am going for Jill(Scott). She is an absolute trooper, a beautiful human being and she should have a career as a supermodel."

Despite Sue being ecstatic and leaving the camp behind, viewers of the hit ITV show weren't as happy - despite her eviction being due to a public vote.

Many fans were left baffled that disgraced MP Matt Hancock survived yet another elimination.

Following the news that he survived another day, viewers flocked to Twitter to share their views. One fumed: "We need a formal investigation and a public enquiry into the people who are voting for Matt Hancock #ImACeleb."

A second blasted: "Matt Hancock still being in the jungle is a prime example of how the British public can not be trusted with a vote #imaceleb."

As the show reaches the business end of proceedings, the crown for king or queen of the jungles remains firmly up for grabs.

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
