"Brian Cox, who plays Logan Roy - the big, over-the-top, overbearing patriarch - will be joining us on the Late Late Show this Friday live in-studio.
"I am so excited to see him in the flesh.
"He's a gentleman, a Scot and a proud republican. It will be very very interesting to talk to him. What an actor"
Brian released his autobiography Putting the Rabbit in the Hat last year, which charts his life story from his childhood in Dundee to his extraordinary career on both screen and stage.
Meanwhile, Spice Girls singer turned solo artist Mel C, AKA Sporty Spice, will join Ryan in studio to chat about her newly released auto-biography, Who I Am.
The music legend has been busy promoting the new book and is expected to give Ryan and Late Late Show viewers a glimpse into life in one of the biggest girl bands of all time.
In a recent interview about the book, Mel C got candid about when she was sexually assaulted before a Spice Girls performance in Turkey.
She revealed to Elizabeth Day on her How To Fail podcast that the experience left her feeling "violated, vulnerable and embarrassed".
The Late Late Show will air on Friday, September 23 at 9.35pm on RTE One and RTE Player.
