A HOLLYWOOD actress known for her role in Succession has described the Scottish accent as the “hardest” to get right.
Australian actress Sarah Snook, best known for her portrayal of Shiv Roy in Succession, was speaking to Laura Kuenssberg about her role in an upcoming stage adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
Asked about the various accents she will have to use in the play, Snook said: “One of the characters, the narrator, will be somewhat similar to my accent now.

“Maybe a little bit Anglicised, more like British a bit. There’s Scottish as well.”
Asked what the hardest accent was, Snook said: “Scottish I think is the hardest,” before giving viewers a taste.
She added that it was “terrifying”, but that she would have “really worked on it” before performing in the play.
Snook then did say "The Picture of Dorian Gray" in a Scottish accent with Kuenssberg joking that it was “not bad”.
“I mean it’s such a beautiful accent, I wish I could do it perfect. I mean I will, I will do it perfect on the day,” Snook added.
For her role in Succession, which Snook starred in alongside Scottish actor Brian Cox, she has picked up three Emmy nominations and won a Golden Globe for her performance.
