NEW DELHI: India's seasoned pacer Mohammed Shami is on the road to recovery after being sidelined for almost a year due to an ankle injury. The 34-year-old, who last played in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, underwent Achilles tendon surgery earlier this year and has been working hard to return to competitive cricket.
Shami has kept fans updated on his progress through social media, recently sharing a video of himself bowling in the nets. The clip, posted on Instagram, was accompanied by a motivational quote: "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."
