Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing 20-year-old Stuttgart midfielder Naouirou Ahamada.
The holding midfielder, who joined the German side from Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2021 on a permanent basis following a loan spell, is said to have impressed Palace boss Patrick Vieira.
French site Foot Mercato reported on Monday that an ‘agreement has been reached’ between the two clubs, but Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth has dismissed these claims. Speaking to German news outlet BILD, he said: “Every club is currently exploring its options. But there is no agreement with any club. The player didn’t come to us with the request that he wanted to leave.”

The Athletic and Daily Mail report that Palace are ‘in talks’ over a deal for Ahamada as they look to strenghten their midfield options. The Eagles are yet to complete a signing in the January transfer window but have been linked with former players Conor Gallagher and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
French youth international Ahamada spent time Juventus' youth system before he was sent out on loan to Stuttgart in October 2020, starting with the German club’s second team before making six appearances in the Bundesliga for the senior side.
Injuries limited his game time to just three appearances last term, but the youngster has become a regular starter this season, scoring two goals in 16 league matches.
