SNOW has hit Scotland as the country recorded its coldest night of the year so far with temperatures hitting as low as -15.6 in the north-east.
Commuters have been facing disruption while some have also had their flights cancelled.
The National asked for people to send in pictures of how the snow was looking in their area.
One Facebook user sent in this stunning image from Monikie Country Park in Dundee.

The Met Office has warned that the cold snap is set to continue for at least another week, with temperatures remaining around zero for the next few days.
Another user sent The National this image of snow over Ben Loyal in the Highlands.

Others around Scotland, including those in the Central Belt, said there wasn't a huge amount of snow but that it was very frosty.
The image below shows Yarrow Valley in Selkirkshire.

Kirsty Wallace, from Melrose, said that the sun had started to appear but that it was -7 this morning.
