Stunning new pub Tailors' Hall Tavern opens inside Dublin's oldest surviving Guild Hall

A brand new pub has opened inside Tailors' Hall, Dublin's oldest surviving Guild Hall.

The new pub is called The Tailors' Hall Tavern, and it situated at Back Lane in The Liberties. The building was originally a guild hall and it is more than 300 years old, and the new pub opened just over eight weeks ago.

According to the Dublin Inquirer, in 2022 An Taisce sublet the basement to publican Paul Clinton who recently transformed the disused basement into an impressive brand new pub. It also includes a beer garden space that will greatly appeal to those who like to enjoy a pint in the Irish sunshine.

Due to the building being a protected structure, there were initially concerns over if planning permission was needed for the bar and beer garden. However, as the building was already being used hospitality, it doesn't appear to have been needed.

Both floors of the building are also available to be used by community groups. Tailors Hall Tavern serves hot food from 1pm, and it offers a wide range of hot and cold drinks that will appeal to all.

You can find Tailors' Hall Tavern at Back Lane in The Liberties.
