A mural in honour of Christy Dignam has appeared overnight following the singer’s death this week.
The artwork, which shows the singer in his familiar performance pose, has been painted on a wall at the corner of Dame Street and George’s Street in Dublin.
It comes as fans of the Aslan frontman are preparing to line the streets as he makes his final journey tomorrow.

The funeral will be strictly private, as Christy, who was 63, wished.
His daughter Kiera has organised for his cortege to take a circular route through his native Finglas in the north of the city.

The Dubliner called him “a legend”, as she wrote on Facebook: “RIP uncle Christopher, you are a legend in every way.
“Heartbreaking to think we’ll never get to see u sing on stage again cause they were always the best nites.
“You will be greatly missed by all.”
There has been an outpouring of grief on social media with fan Mary McDonagh posting Christy “saved” her.
She wrote: “I am alive partly because of this man.
“When I was a teenager I was going through turmoil in my life. I’d be angry, sad, lonely and even contemplated leaving this world.
“At the weekends I’d go to the noggin and watch this absolutely beautiful amazing man who reminded me life is worth living.
“He would take away all my hurt and pain just by listening to him on stage.”
Dublin’s Lord Mayor Caroline Conroy has opened an online book of condolences.
Christy’s cortege will arrive at the junction of Tolka Valley Road and Cardiffsbridge Road at 9.45am before turning onto Cardiffsbridge Road.
It will then arrive at 9.50am to pause at the green area opposite Colaiste Íde.
It will continue on to Mellowes Road towards Finglas Garda station and take a right turn onto Finglaswood Road.
the cortege will then proceed onto Cappagh Road pausing at St Fergal’s BNS. It will then turn right onto Patrick’s Well Place, left onto Wellmount Road and onto Farnham Drive.
The hearse will arrive at the playing field opposite Erin’s Isle GAA Club to pause to make a video tribute, before departing at 10.15am.
