A surprised Jet2 customer has shared pictures of a flight to Greece that had only two other passengers on board.
Jak Scott told Edinburgh Live he "thought it was a joke" when he waited to board a flight from Edinburgh to Skiathos on Friday, September 30 to find almost no one else queuing with him.
After growing slightly concerned to hear the final call announced with no sign of other passengers, he was then informed by staff that there would only be a handful of people on the flight.
Jak, who says he is a regular traveller, shared pictures of the deserted Jet2 plane as he recalled his unusual experience of the flight.
He said to Edinburgh Live: "With today's rising costs etc I was pretty shocked when I got on my flight to Greece on Friday as it was only myself and two other passengers onboard.
"I got to the gate early was confused why no one else was going through, it wasn't until they did the final call I got up and went to the desk, and the service agent walked me to the aeroplane door and told me it's only me and two other people.
"I thought it was some sort of strange joke until I entered the plane.
"I travel regularly and have heard about this a couple of times before but this is the first time I've ever experienced a flight so empty myself. I got served pretty much after the seat belt sign went off after take off."
He added that staff suggested it "could have been to do with holidays" - but he still found the situation "really bizarre" as his ticket was only £59 in total.
Back in January, a stunned passenger went one better when he was doted on by flight attendants as the only person on board a British Airways flight.
Kai Forsyth, said it was the "weirdest experience" to be on the British Airways flight alone, but added he'd never been comfier as he set up a bed across a few of the seats.
He said he was given all the food that he wanted on the flight from London to Orlando, Florida, and cabin crew explained that no other passengers were on the plane, as the Daily Star reports.
Kai, from Debry, shared his experience on TikTok, where he uploads to the account @kaiforsyth. The video was watched more than 170,000 times and people said Kai was very lucky, although one confessed they found it a bit scary and said: "Nah I'd be too paranoid the whole journey."
