Study finds yet another use for popular diabetes and obesity drugs

Semaglutide (GLP-1) weight-loss drug Wegovy, made by pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, - (PA)

Popular obesity drugs, such as Ozempic, could also help to protect the kidneys, a new study has suggested.

The findings indicate the medications might reduce the risk of kidney deterioration and failure, regardless of whether or not somebody has diabetes.
