Studio formed by OG Diablo leads is announcing its debut action RPG this week, and you can play a demo of it ahead of Steam Next Fest in February

Diablo 2.

Moon Beast Productions – formed of ex-Blizzard developers who worked on Diablo – is gearing up to reveal its debut ARPG title this week.

While the studio hasn't released a title yet, it's hard to think of a studio with a better action RPG pedigree than Moon Beast Productions, which is formed of ex-Blizzard North talent who worked on Diablo, Torchlight, and Hellgate: London, with a majority of the team having worked on Diablo 2 (aka: the best one). And this week we'll finally have a chance to see what the studio is cooking up.

In a post on the Moon Beast Discord, Phil Shenk (lead character artist on Diablo 2) explained that on Thursday, January 29 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT the studio will be revealing "GAME NAME." At this time a Steam page, Kickstarter "coming soon" page, and website will be launched.

However, despite not even having an announced name yet, it won't be too long until people can get their hands on it, as Shenk confirms, "The demo will be available on Steam before Next Fest, which is Feb 23rd." It was previously confirmed that the Kickstarter for the game will launch in February, too, so presumably these will arrive on the same date. Shenk adds, "We haven't finalized the exact date yet, but there will be advance warning here on Discord."

Shenk closes "Our sincerely and deeply felt thanks to all of you for your support and interest in Moon Beast and GAME NAME." And honestly with a name that catchy I think I'll be somewhat disappointed to find out its true name later this week.

Ori studio's action RPG No Rest for the Wicked hits the top of the Steam charts following co-up update, beating Arc Raiders, Marvel Rivals, and Helldivers 2
