PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday heard grievances of altogether 47 visitors at his weekly ‘Janta Ke Darbar Mein Mukhyamantri” programme and directed the officials of concerned departments to take appropriate steps for solution of their grievances.
Most of the visitors who had arrived from different districts mainly complained about the non-payment incentive to matric passed students, non-payment of ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the next kin of those who died due to covid-19, irregularities in selection of Anganwari Sewika and the non-availability of speciality doctors at the government-run medical college at Madhepura.
A student who arrived from Gopalganj district told the CM that he passed his matriculation examination with the first division in 2018, yet to receive the incentive of Rs 10,000 from the state government.
Similarly, a girl who had arrived from Muzaffarpur district complained to the CM that she passed her matriculation examination in 2018 with the first division, yet to receive the incentive of Rs 10,000. Nitish asked the education department officials to take appropriate action in both the cases.
A widow who had arrived from Banka district, complained to the CM that her husband died of Covid-19 infection in 2021, but she is yet to receive the ex gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh from the state government. After hearing her grievances, the CM asked the health department to take necessary action in the matter.
Another widow who had arrived from Bhojpur district, informed the CM that she was not provided a job on the compassionate ground after the untimely death of her husband who was employed in a government-run school. Nitish asked the officials of the concerned department to inquire into the matter and take appropriate action.
A visitor who arrived from Madhepura district complained to the CM that there was shortage of specialty doctors at the Madhepura-based Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College and Hospital. People are facing difficulty in treatment due to unavailability of speciality doctors. Nitish asked the health officials to take appropriate action in the matter.
A woman who had arrived from Araria district, complained to the CM about irregularities in the appointment of ‘Sewika’ and ‘Sahayika’ in the Anganwari centre. Nitish asked the officials of the social welfare department to take quick action in the matter.
