Student given 'unlimited snacks' as only passenger on long haul British Airways flight

A student couldn't believe his luck after discovering he was the only person onboard an eight-hour British Airways flight.

Kai Forsyth, who is from Derby but attends college in the US, had the 'weirdest experience' of flying from London to Orlando as the only passenger on the plane except from the flight crew.

In a now viral video uploaded to his Tik Tok account, @kaiforsyth, on Monday (January 10), he pans round to show the empty aircraft and explains: "The cabin crew said I was the only person onboard the flight."

The clip, which has since racked up over 500,000 views, shows Kai making himself comfy by putting down the armrests of four empty seats to create a makeshift bed, the Daily Star reports.

"It was eight hours so I set up a bed. Literally the comfiest I've ever been on a plane," he writes on the screen.

Kai also shows how he was given a wholesale box full of Walkers shortbread biscuits since there was nobody else to cater for.

"They literally gave me all the snacks and unlimited food," he writes while making his viewers' mouths water with jealousy.

He said he couldn't be upgraded to Business or First Class which was the only downside to his enjoyable trip.

The video was watched more than 170,000 times and people said Kai was very lucky, although one confessed they found it a bit scary and said: "Nah I'd be too paranoid the whole journey."

A second viewer shared: "I remember the flight home from JFK to Gatwick, about 10 people the whole of economy. Was the best flight."

"Omg that was me I kept flying when Covid first ever got announced and there were no restrictions," someone else commented.

Another user said: "The last time it happened to me it was the roughest flight ever and landed on 2nd attempt."
