A student who was issued a £400 fine after leaving two cardboard boxes next to her bin said she has been left 'petrified' by the incident.
Marta Stankiewicz has slammed the 'out of proportion' punishment after a neighbour reported the two boxes left at the rear of her property. The 45-year-old says she put the two boxes next to her bin on the Friday before her Monday collection.
She now faces going to court if she refuses to cough up for the Stoke-on-Trent City Council penalty, reports StokeOnTrentLive.
