A 20-year-old man who prompted a month-long search by police after running away from his parents as part of a practical joke tragically died in a river, an inquest heard. Charley Gadd's body was found in the River Irwell near Media City, Manchester on January 10 this year, Manchester Evening News reports.
The film student had been enjoying a night out with parents Jolyon and Kimberley Gadd at The Warehouse Project in Manchester city centre on December 11 last year, but later "ran off" from the pair as a joke.
