Taiwan hit by strongest earthquake in 25 years

Taiwan's strongest earthquake in a quarter century rocked the island during the morning rush hour Wednesday, killing at least nine people and leaving hundreds injured.

Taiwan's government said later Wednesday that more than 800 people had been injured in a 7.2 magnitude earthquake which struck earlier in the day, and that 77 people were trapped.
