Adelaide Strikers captain Peter SIddle has won the toss and elected to bat in the BBL clash with the Sydney Sixers at Adelaide Oval.
His side will be out for redemption in the rematch of last summer's Challenger Final, which the Sixers won in a heart-stopper.
Ex-Brisbane Heat skipper and prized recruit Chris Lynn, the competition's all-time leading runscorer and six-hitter, will be out to make an early impression in his highly anticipated maiden appearance in Strikers colours.
Former New Zealand Test allrounder Colin de Grandhomme and English import Adam Hose have both been named to make their BBL debut for the Strikers.
Former Perth Scorcher Kurtis Patterson will be representing the Sixers for the first time after switching camps in the off-season.
Afghan teenager Izharulhaq Naveed has been selected to play his first BBL match and will surely be keen to emulate legendary countryman Rashid Khan on the opposition side.
