A former Strictly Come Dancing winner has urged fans ahead of the 2022 winner being revealed after the Strictly final tonight.
Actor Joe McFadden, who won in 2017, issued a warning on social media to fans who might be disappointed if their favourite didn't win.
Tonight's final sees Helen Skelton, Hamza Yassin, Molly Rainford, and Fleur East take to the dance floor to see if they can win and claim the glitterball trophy as this year's winner.
All four celebrities alongside their professional partners will perform three dances, including some of their favourites from the series.
Joe, who won with partner Katya Jones, begged fans not to "lash out" if they didn't get the result they were expecting.
Writing on Twitter, he urged fans: "Good luck all the #strictly finalists for the last show tonight. If your favourite doesn’t win, please try not to lash out and instead thank them all for a fab series. They all deserve to win at this point! #bekind".
Fans were quick to agree, with some praising the actor for speaking out.
One fan tweeted: "Totally agree, Fleur for some reason has taken a lot of criticism. We should be grateful that some wish to take up the challenge, without them there would be no programme. Well done to all involved."
Another said: "I've never read anything so well put in my life! My favourite went out in week seven but this has been a FANTASTIC series!"
A third agreed, as they added: "100%, it’s been a great series. If my fave doesn’t win, so be it, but thanks to all the celebs and pros for a great few months."
As the four remaining contestants compete for viewer's votes to see them named as the winner of the 2022 series, as the judges have given all the verdicts they can and tonight's winner will solely be down to the general public when voting opens.
However, some viewers are convinced they already know who the winner will be.
It's not just viewers that have backed their favourites too, previous Strictly celeb dancers have also shared their support for their favourites too.
Former contestant Dan Walker backed Helen Skelton, as he shared: "All the best to everyone in the #Strictly final tonight. Hamza, Molly and Fleur are great but I hope Helen goes home with the glitter ball.
"She has turned into a wonderful dancer and Gorka - who is a genius - has helped her to shine, smile & sparkle after a tough year."
Former Strictly professional James Jordan said he expected Hamza or Helen to win, as he tweeted: "Good luck to all the Strictly finalists!! It’s been a another great year of dancing and once again the pro’s were exceptional I think it’s a 2 horse race between Hamza and Helen BUT whoever wins is down to the public so it will be the correct result GOOD LUCK ALL."
