Strictly viewers fume at 'technical blunder' on BBC results show before Tony Adams exits

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left struggling to hear the show amid repeated complaints of issues with the volume during the results show.

Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcomed Strictly Come Dancing viewers back to the BBC One show as they prepare to return to Blackpool next week for the first time in two years.

The Sunday results show opened with a touching tribute to Remembrance Sunday in a beautiful ballroom number from the Strictly professionals.

Later in the show, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Zak Abel then performed their single Same Boat as Nikita Kuzmin and Amy Dowden performed a beautiful routine on stage.

However, a number of fans were left complaining that they could not hear singer Zak Abel.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Can we please get the sound sorted out for the live singers? Terrible every week. Like they're singing through a pillow.”

A second chimed: “Can someone turn up the volume on his mike? The percussion is louder than his singing.”

“Whats wrong with the sound?” another viewer asked as one said: “I couldn’t hear the singer (Zak?) at the start.” A fellow frustrated viewer of the BBC One programme wrote: “Again.... Awful sound output by the BBC…”

Although the much-loved Blackpool themed episode had been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will return for the 2022 edition of the hit ballroom dancing show.

Instead of the studio’s ballroom floor, the celebrities travel to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom to sashay onto the dance floor in front of judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas.

We’re hovering around the halfway point for Strictly Come Dancing's 2022 season and the competition couldn't be more intense.

The show’s Saturday night instalment proved to be one of the most emotional of the series so far, with judges and stars alike in floods of tears over the spectacular routines.

This week the Glitterball hopefuls took on a batch of new dances and tracks, ranging from the samba to the pasa doble.

Fleur East even came close to scoring a full complement of tens from the judges – if it weren’t for Craig’s critical eye.

X Factor star Fleur and pro Vito Coppola took on a Samba to Hot Hot Hot by Arrow, sending pulses racing with their Latin number for an ultimate score of 39.

Favourite and wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin and partner Jowita Przystal did a Couple's Choice to Jerusalem, the remix by Master KG feat. Burna Boy and Nomcebo Zikode. The number left judge Motsi in tears and earned them a total of 38, putting them second on the leaderboard.

Strictly Come Dancing returns next weekend on BBC One.
