A number of Strictly Come Dancing stars have rushed to offer their support to Amy Dowden after she revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32.
The Welsh professional dancer, who has been a favourite on the BBC dance competition since 2017, shared her devasting news on social media on Wednesday.
She went on to say that she is unsure if she will be taking part this year, but is“determined to get back on that dance floor” after receiving treatment.
One thing is for certain, her co-stars are rooting for her.
Taking to the comments section, professional Dianne Buswell led the charge, writing: “Our Welsh dragon is going to fight this!!!! and I can not wait for the moment you are back on that dance floor with us. We love you so much Amy.”
Gorka Marquez penned: “We are all in this with you!! Sending all our strength. And you will be with us in the less than 8 counts. We love you Amy.”
Johannes Radebe said he was “sending you love and strength Darling Amy”, while Karen Hauer wrote: “We love you and we are here with you in every little step. You are strong and you will beat this.”
Carlos Gu also showed his support, writing: “Our Ames is going to fight for this, we will be by your side of all this time. I know you will be back with more strength and health.”
Former Strictly dancer Oti Mabuse wrote: “Sending you love and power and all the strength - you’re such an incredible woman love you Amy! Take care of yourself”, and YouTuber Joe Sugg wrote: “Sending you all the love, best wishes and strength Amy.”
