Strictly star Bobby Brazier shares brother’s emotional reaction over dance tribute to mum Jade Goody

Bobby Brazier has shared his brother’s emotional reaction to his Strictly Come Dancing performance in tribute to their late mum Jade Goody.

The EastEnders actor, 20, and his dance partner Dianne Buswell scored an impressive 37 points for their dance to This Woman’s Work by Maxwell.

In the studio, the pair were proudly supported by Freddie, 19, and his father Jeff Brazier, who called his eldest a “walking tribute to his mum” in the VT and was left in tears following the tribute.

Reflecting on his family watching from the audience, Bobby said with a smile: “It just makes me laugh!

“I remember looking to them after it finished and walking over to the judges, and my dad said, ‘Well done.’

“It was a real genuine, sweet, well done, I could tell he was really proud.”

The BBC star went on to share that someone told him that his younger sibling was so enamoured by his performance that he “stood up before the dance had even finished to start clapping way before everyone else”.

Adding: “It’s really sweet, they were both really proud.”

The model’s comments follow his dad Jeff’s heartbreaking statement following the emotional performance.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “To share your grief even to just one person can be a daunting prospect but to express it so movingly in front of millions takes incredible courage so thank you for your inspiration!’

He said Bobby had encouraged “many a conversation about loss” and had given people “an outlet for the tears they might find hard to release”.

Adding: “You said something in the VT about making me proud of you? You and your brother achieved that a long time ago.

“Don’t forget I’ve seen the journey and you both have my lifelong support and unwavering respect.”

The This Morning contributor concluded his social media post by thanking his son’s dance partner for continuing to support him “with the selflessness and resilience not everyone but your family and fellow professionals will see or understand”.
