Actor Will Mellor has been forced to slack off Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals this week after being struck down with illness.
The Two Pints of Lager actor revealed that he has been battling an illness in a video shared on his Instagram, with reports that he hasn't been able to train with partner Nancy Xu all week.
The 46-year-old actor attended training on Monday, before being too unwell to continue and needed to head home to rest and has been 'laid up ever since'.
However, despite not being able to spend hours in rehearsals this week, Will is reported to still be hopeful he can still take to the floor for Saturday night's performance.
Posting on his Instagram and speaking to his 372k followers, the actor said in a video: "First of all, I want to apologise for the way I sound, I have not been well at all this week.
"I went into training Monday and I just had to go home because I was feeling poorly and I've been laid up ever since."
The star continued: "I got a bug, virus, whatever you want to call it and I was aching all over, it's horrible. If you've got it out there, I feel your pain because a lot of it is going around this time of year, these flu variants.
"I've just done Strictly It Takes Two and a lot of people have been commenting saying 'You sound really poorly,' so I wanted to just say thanks for your comments but I probably sound worse than I am because I've coughed my throat out.
"But yeah, I went into training for the first time today just to do a couple of hours because I've got to perform on Saturday night live so let's just hope I can get through it."
The actor was still in good spirits despite his illness, as he ended the video as he said: "It's Ed Sheeran's Joker and The Queen that I'm doing this week and I love that song so I really want to do it justice. But we'll just have to see what I can do."
Fans were quick to send get well wishes to the actor, and sending him support for Saturday's show.
One fan commented: "Hope ur feeling better soon Will".
Another wrote: "Get well soon man. We're rooting for you".
"Get well Will. Voting for you every week . You are a great dancer. Love Nancy too," added a third.
So far Will has been praised by the judges for his impressive debut and last week the star won over viewers last week with his performance of an American Smooth to Dirty Dancing track Cry to Me during Movie Week.
