Tess Daly has paid an emotional tribute to the Queen,. recalling the time she met Her Majesty, as Strictly Come Dancing bosses have decided to postpone the new series launch show.
The BBC's schedule has been altered significantly since Queen Elizabeth II's death last Thursday, at the age of 96. The much loved monarch passed away at Balmoral in Scoitland, with her death announced to the nation at just after 6.230pm. The BBC had already changed its plans hours earlier, after news came in that the Queen was under medical supervision, with Bargain Hunt being immediately pulled and other shows like Doctors and Pointless going the same way.
Since her death, BBC One has devoted a lot of airtime to coverage of events like King Charles III's proclamation, the Queen's coffin's journey from Balmoral and Charles' visits to Scotland and Northern Irelands. Only a handful of shows have aired as normal like drama The Capture and Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow, although the later two were both specials in honour of Her Majesty.
