Strictly's Nadiya Bychokva fires back at Kai romance rumours after pair get close in Newcastle

Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychokva has broken her silence on rumours surrounding her and fellow pro Kai Widdrington, with a defiant response on Instagram.

As the Strictly live tour arrived in Newcastle, Nadiya and Kai were snapped looking very close in the lobby of the city's Malmaison hotel after grabbing a coffee from the Starbucks next door, with one photo published by The Sun showing them kissing.

Just days earlier, rumours began swirling that Nadiya and Kai had been getting close as they and co-stars hit the road on the tour, which kicked off in Birmingham on January 20.

They and their fellow Strictly pro dancers and celebrity partners performed three shows at Newcastle's Utilita Arena and, as they headed to Manchester, Nadiya, who danced with Dan Walker during the last series, took to Instagram with a message for her growing number of followers.

Next to a picture of her on the dancefloor, she wrote: "Don’t believe everything that is reported in the papers, or what you see.

"I love to dance and that’s what I’m here to do. The warmth and kindness I feel from the audience every night makes it worth it.

"If you’re coming to the tour, I look forward to seeing you there."

BBC Breakfast host Dan was one of the many people to comment on Nadiya's post, with him writing: "Have a brilliant show tonight partner."

One of her fans reacted: "I never believe anything I read, and it’s no one’s business anyway! xx Be happy, keep smiling and have a fantastic time performing tonight and for the rest of the tour."

Echoing the same sentiments, another wrote: "It’s no others business!! Be happy bu*ger anyone else opinion!"
