Nadiya Bychkova is keeping herself busy and throwing herself in to the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour rehearsals in the wake of news her relationship with her fiance is over.
The 32-year-old dance professional shocked fans on Tuesday as it was revealed her 33-year-old Slovenian footballer fiancé Matija Škarabot had come to an abrupt end.
The couple share a five-year-old daughter named Mila and had been together for many years – falling for each other following the collapse of Nadiya’s marriage to Russian dancer Sergey Konovaltsev in 2015.
But as they say in world of celebrity, the show must go on – so on Wednesday Nadiya was back at work rehearsing for her upcoming responsibilities as a cast member of the imminent Strictly 2022 live tour.
Taking fans behind-the-scenes, Nadiya shared footage via Instagram Stories of the ladies make-up room – showing row after row of beauty stations complete with mirrors and piles of make-up gifts.
Commentating over her footage, Nadiya said: “When you walk into the girls’ dressing room, look at all these gifts!”
She then squealed with excitement as she reviewed all the goodies.
Fellow Strictly stars Amy Dowden and Jowita Przystał were also marvelling at the sights before them.
Talking to her co-star, Nadiya went on: “Jowita, how much do you love it? It’s your first tour.”
The Polish dance expert gushed: “It’s my first tour! My first goodies.”
Further footage showed Nadiya sat in the make-up chair looking glowing as one of the Strictly tour members prepared to do her make-up while the sound of Jennifer Lopez’s iconic single Jenny From The Block blasted away from a nearby sound system.
Nadiya explained: “[It’s] the first dressed run today. Exciting! I’m so excited. It’s an amazing show. It’s one of the best shows. I can’t wait!”
On Tuesday, reports emerged that Nadiya’s romance with Matija had come to a crashing end – sparking fears Ukrainian-Slovenian beauty Nadiya had become the latest victim of the dreaded Strictly curse.
The ballroom expert had been paired with BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker for the 2021 series of Strictly – with the show reaching its climax just weeks before it was revealed Nadiay’s engagement was over.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Nadiya and Matija haven't been together for some time now.
“Matija is dedicated to his footballing career in Slovenia and Nadiya is predominantly based in London.
“Performing on Strictly and the Strictly Live Tour takes up half her year, in the end the commitment to their jobs made it too difficult for the relationship to work.
“There's still a lot of love and respect between them and Mila is and always will be their priority.”
Meanwhile, reports by Tuesday night suggested Nadiya was being supported by fellow Strictly star, Kai Widdrington.
A source told The Sun: "Nadiya and Kai have incredible chemistry, and a very strong friendship.
“Right from week one they connected, and are always laughing and messing about."
