Motsi Mabuse is facing legal action brought against her by her former husband Timo Kulczak, who has slammed claims made by the Strictly Come Dancing judge.
The dancer, 41, recently released her debut autobiography, in which, she claims the German native was controlling and restricted her access to her own financial funds.
Timo, 45, has vehemently denied the allegations and has counter-claimed that Motsi is portraying herself as a "victim" in a new interview.
Despite the pair previously competing with one another, Timo has remained tightlipped about their marriage which ended in 2014.
But now, the star has revealed he is taking legal action after Motsi refused to issue a clarification on her allegation.
Speaking to The Sun, Timo denied the claims he stopped Motsi from having a baby and decided what she ate.
He said: "I have reached a point whereby I cannot just let things stand as they are when something is put out there in public and it is simply not true."
Meanwhile, a legal representative for Timo, Samy Hammad added that Motsi has the "moral and ethical duty" to "set the record straight".
In Finding My Own Rhythm, Motsi claims that her former husband refused to let her end the marriage as well as claiming he restricted the access she had to her own bank funds.
After hearing about the claims, Timo asked Motsi to issue a clarification on social media but claims she refused and informed him that he should instruct a lawyer.
"I am deeply disappointed and hurt," he told The Sun.
While his lawyer went on to say: "We can take legal action in Germany, and in England," before clarifying that the situation depends on how things move on and how Motsi's representatives respond.
Timo's lawyer continued, suggesting it is "morally and ethically reprehensible" to portray oneself as a victim in order to "boost sales" of her book.
After living separately for a year, Timo and Motsi divorced in 2014, but the Strictly judge writes how the pair have managed to remain friends to this day.
Motsi is now happily married to her new dance partner Evgenij Voznyuk, whom she met around the same time her marriage was breaking down and coming to an end.
The star claims there was no crossover with her ex-husband and her current beau, but admits she and Evgenij did chat about their feelings for one another which did see her speed up the process of ending her first marriage.
