Strictly's Molly Rainford victim of new 'curse' as fans make Halloween Week prediction

Molly Rainford looks set to make a triumphant return to form on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend after falling victim to a new 'curse' on the show, with the CBBC star sparking a huge prediction from fans after they saw what dance she'd be doing for Halloween Week.

A consistent high scorer so far this series, Molly, who is partnered with pro dancer Carlos Gu, had an off week as Strictly celebrated the BBC's 100th Birthday with a special episode on Saturday night. Each of the remaining couples had to dance to an iconic theme tune from a BBC show, with Molly and Carlos doing their Couple's Choice routine to the original Grange Hill theme.

The ballroom was transformed into a school canteen as the pair honoured the much loved children's TV show but, while they looked like they were having a lot of fun doing the dance, the judges were distinctly lukewarm with their feedback, awarding Molly and Carlos their lowest score so far.

Molly and Carlos looked as shell shocked as viewers at home when they landed in the dance-off, before being unanimously saved by the judges, at the expense of Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer, who became the fourth couples to get the boot this year. Molly falling into the bottom two for the first time came after Fleur East and Kym Marsh suffered the same face in consecutive weeks.

And Strictly fans are now claiming there's a middle of the leaderboard 'curse', with Molly, Fleur and Kym all being in trouble, despite getting decent marks, while low scorers like Tony Adams and James ye have yet to fall into the dance-off.

On Tuesday, Strictly bosses released the songs and dances for this weekend's Halloween special. with Molly and Carlos set to dance a Argentine Tango to Kate Bush's now Stranger Things anthem Running up That Hill. On finding out their dance and seeing Fleur bounce back when she was given an Argentine Tango a week after being in the dance-off, viewers are forecasting the same change in fortunes for Molly.

Responding to Strictly's tweet, one fan reacted: "Twice a couple have been in the bottom 2 then got an argentine tango the next week," with a second tweeting: "Super excited especially for Molly and Carlos Argentine Tango especially to that absolute tune."
