Molly Rainford is swapping the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom for Albert Square, after landing a dream role in EastEnders.
Prior to her stint on the Strictly dancefloor last year, Moly was best known for playing CBBC pop icon Nova Jones, but quickly earned herselves legions of hew fans, thanks to her amazing performances alongside pro partner Carlos Gu. Thanks to numbers like their stunning Quickstep and dramatic paso doble, the couple made it all the way to the final of the much loved show, losing out on the Glitterball to eventual champions Hamza Yassin and Jowita Pryztal.
Molly and CArlos then hit the road alongside many of their Strictly co-stars for the show's annual arena tour, wiwing fans all over the UK but now Molly is taking off her dancing shows and panicking up scripts, now she's been confirmed as one of EastEnders' newest family.
The arrival of the Knights was announced as credits rolled on Tuesday night's edition of the BBC soap, with them being introduced into the fold thanks to Linda Carter's mum, Elaine Peacock, coming into help her daughter with the Queen Vic, following Mick's dramatic disappearance on Christmas Day.
Elaine has been recast, with Brittas Empire and Absolutely Fabulous icon Harriet Thorpe coming into play her,. alongside love interest Gerge, played by former James Bond actor Colin Salmon.
Molly will play George's youngest daughter Anna and, commenting on landing the part, said: "I'm SUPER excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders," Molly said. "It's such an iconic show which myself and my family love, so it's an honour to bring the character Anna Knight to life who is set to stir up drama upon her arrival."
She added: "I've already met a few familiar faces from my time on Strictly and I can't wait to meet and be a part of the EastEnders family.""
