TV star Kym Marsh has revealed she suffers from a condition which may effect her chances on Strictly Come Dancing. The 46-year-old is currently taking part in the hit BBC series while she's also filming for the new series of Waterloo Road.
Appearing on Strictly: It Takes Two with her professional dance partner Graziano Di Prima on Friday, September 30, Kym revealed she has a condition which means she may struggle with some dances on Strictly Come Dancing, particularly the waltz, which she will perform on the live show on Saturday, October 1. The star has visual vertigo, which was brought on a ear problem Kym had six years ago.
This means Kym can struggle with some dance moves, particularly spins and turns. She said: "Even moving lights make me feel weird, like I can't do it, so spinning and spinning and spinning... that's probably the bit I'm most worried about."
Kym is not going to let this hold her back, she said: "But you know what, it is what it is and I can't help having the thing that I've got so I am just going to do my best and my best is all I can do."
While also on Strictly: It Takes Two Kym revealed she gets very nervous before performing and was comforted by Graziano. Kym told host Rylan Clark: "I am probably one of the most unconfident people."
Graziano supported Kym and he said: "I want to tell you here, in front of everyone, you are brilliant...she doesn't believe that!"
Tony Adams, former footballer, is also taking part in Strictly Come Dancing and has been partnered with Katya Jones. On the first show of the series Tony blanked and forgot a lot of his routine, resulting him scoring lowest on the leader board.
He also appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two on Friday about how forgetting his routine reminded him about the panic attacks he used to suffer in school. He said: "I went back to my childhood, reading books at school where I was like 'oh my God, I can't breathe' because I was having a panic attack when I was kid."
Katya added: "But isn't it amazing because people would not expect Tony Adams, the captain, the sports person to have experienced things like that." before Tony was given a round of applause for taking to the dancefloor.
