Kaye Adams was reduced to tears by a message from pro partner Kai Widdrington, after their Strictly Come Dancing exit angered fans on Sunday.
An outsider for the ballroom in from the get-go, in the eyes of bookmakers, Loose Women star Kaye herself admitted she was nervous to see how she'd fare in the hit BBC show, after her name was confirmed on this year's line-up back in August. After receiving some positive feedback from the judges for her and Kai's week one tango, Kaye was one of only a few celebs to see their scores dip in week two.
On Saturday night, the former news anchor and pro Kai performed a Charleston but, while Strictly viewers seemed to love it, the judges were lukewarm at best with their response and scores, awarding the couple just 22 out of 40. That was the same score received by both Tony Adams and Matt Goss and after the public had a chance to vote, it was Kaye and Matt who landed in the dreaded Dance Off, along with partner Nadiya Bychkova, who also happens to be Kai' s girlfriend.

After both bottom two duos performed again, judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all opted to save Matt and Nadioya, but, while those votes sealed Kaye and Kai's exit, there was a last ditch twist when head judge Shirley Ballas said she would have saved them.
That was an opinion shared by plenty of fans at home, with a number of them taking to Twitter to share their anger and disappointment at the result.
Showing no hard feelings, Kai, who made the Strictly final last year, before having to pull out after partner AJ Odudu was injured in training, took to Instagram to heap praise on Kaye, writing: " I want to say a massive thank you to my amazing celebrity partner @kayeadamsofficial It was my absolute pleasure to step into the rehearsal room and on to that strictly ballroom floor with you we had such fun endless laughs and I’m gutted it’s come to an early end. You really are and always will be a superstar ! keep shining."
And Kai's tribute to Kaye, clearly touched a nerve, as, in the comments section she responded: " Stop it! You are making me cry. You are exceptional . You’ve taught me so much and not just dance steps. I look forward to watching your career fly . Lots of love."
Kaye then added: " I couldn't have wished for a better teacher. Thank you for all your patience, support and just being an all round fabulous guy."
