Joe Suggs has found himself in a headline storm in recent days amid rumours and fears his relationship with Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell is over.
But that hasn’t stopped him revelling in the joy of a fellow YouTube star who has got down on bended knee to propose to his own influencer girlfriend.
Joe, 31, made a name for himself in the YouTube sphere which includes fellow video-making star Caspar Lee, 28.
And Caspar delighted fans on Christmas Eve when he revealed he has proposed to his long-term girlfriend Ambar Driscoll, 24.
Joe was one of the first to congratulate the happy pair after they shared footage of the momement of their engagement which took place in South Africa.
Joe gushed online as he responded to the snaps and videos shared by the couple: “Yes! What wonderful news! Congratulations @caspar_lee @ambardriscoll”
Joe’s own relationship has been drawn into question after fans noticed his Strictly Pro girlfriend Dianne, 34, has flown to Australia to celebrate Christmas without him.
Although Dianne herself has tried to extinguish rumours of a split by sharing a screenshot of herself and Joe beaming at each other over video phone.
Caspar, meanwhile, is delighted over his own happy news - sharing footage and snaps on Instagram.
Uploading a photo of himself on bended knee, he wrote: “Happy tears, I promise” alongside a green heart emoji.
A flood of other celebrities flocked to congratulate the happy pair - with TV host Will Manning typing: “congrats you guys!!!”
Former Made In Chelsea star Ahsley James also sent good wishes to the duo, writing in the comments: “So happy for you both! Congratulations.”
While chart topping star Pixie Lott typed: “Congratulations” alongside a number of emojis including snowflakes, sparkles, and starry eyed faces.
Caspar and Ambar shared the moment of their engagement online - with Caspar posting videos and photos of the moment he asked her to be his wife.
Ambar could be seen looking gobsmacked, overjoyed and somewhat in disbelief.
Caspar updated fans via Instagram Stories later to confirm: “She did eventually say yes I promise.”
He also shared footage of the moment he contacted his family via video call to let them know they were soon to welcome Amber into their family.
Caspar shared footage via Instagram Stories along with the caption: “The moment we told my mom and sister.”
Footage showed Caspar’s delighted mother and sibling flashing beaming smiles as they noticed the giant rock on Ambar’s finger while soft music played over the scene.
Meanwhile, Amber announced the news to her followers by beginning an Instagram Stories post with the statement: “Okay so no reels the past few days because I’ve been a little bit distracted….”
She then shared a photo of her and Caspar posing together while showing off the ring on her finger.
Ambar then shared a link to Caspar’s Instagram post about their engagement, and she typed: “Still in shock but I am SO HAPPY I get to marry the love of my life.”
Caspar previously explained exactly how he and Ambar met - and that a ski trip and Instagram are the reason for their romance.
Back in 2018, he explained: “So I went on a ski trip with my friends from South Africa, and on that ski trip there were a bunch of university students, from a university called Exeter - which is a really good one in the UK.
“And I met some of the people from that university and I followed them on Instagram and then I started getting more suggestions of other university of Exeter student because that’s just how the algorithm works.
“And she [Ambar] was one of the people who came up on my explore page. But after a month of stalking her, I decided to send her a comment.”
He then revealed: “The comment was; ‘a fire emoji and a picture emoji’, so saying ‘fire picture’. It was a photo of her and another dude. I guess I was feeling confident.
“And then she commented a heart emoji back and put on her stories saying ‘My 14-year-old self would be so happy right now.’
“And I just said ‘So rude’ because I thought she was taking the p*ss out of me. But she was like ‘What!! It’s true. I used to fangirl over you massively.’
“And then I said ‘I jest, I jest’, and she said: ‘We’ve actually met’ and she sent me that photo straight away and I was like ‘Oh my god. I don’t remember you.’”
