Strictly's Janette Manrara accidently kicks dog in face on Morning Live

Strictly Come Dancing stars and married couple Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec joined Sam Quek and Gethin Jones for their daily workout on the BBC show Morning Live. But the workout based on a dance did not go as smoothly as planned.

Today's show featured a number of guests who took part in the workout, which is a regular section of the BBC One show. Among those in the studio included a lovely golden retriever called Ollie.

For most of the show, Ollie spent sleeping in the studio, but he woke up just in time to join in the dance workout. To end the workout Janette finished with an amazing spin with her husband Aljaž, reports the Daily Star.

Ollie became interested in what was going on and wandered over to join in the dance. However, sadly he ended up getting kicked in the face as Janette was swung round by Aljaž right before the show ended.

The incident was over before you could blink, but viewers at home noticed the accident and were left horrified. Viewers flocked to social media to share their shock one viewer said: "Hope the dog is ok, after getting booted in the head."

Another viewer said: "I hope that dogs ok! Just got smacked in the face by a dancer." Meanwhile, another said: "Ermmm I swear the dog on #MorningLive just held a boot to the face. Poor thing."

Yet another viewer added: "Poor doggo! They left us like it was the biggest EastEnders cliff-hanger ever!" Someone else asked: "Is the dog okay??"

The show's resident vet Dr James is the lucky owner of Ollie and the vet was on the show to talk about dog grooming. He also owns another golden retriever called Mollie.

BBC Morning Live airs every day from 9.15 on BBC One.
