James Bye is hoping to be less Albert Square and more Fred Astaire when it comes to winning over the Strictly Come Dancing judges.
The EastEnders actor - who plays Martin Fowler in the BBC soap - is taking part with the full backing of his wife, Victoria Bye, and their three children, Edward, eight, Louis, six and Hugo, three.
"Because I've got a young family I had to talk all that through first, make sure we were in a position as a family for me to go through something as intense as Strictly is," said the 38-year-old star.
"But we're lucky in that sense that we've got the support network, so it was a strong 'yes' once the family was on board."
Indeed, family is everything to James and Victoria, who tied the knot in 2012.
They fell pregnant with their first two sons easily, but when it came to their third, each month brought with it another devastating negative pregnancy test.

Victoria previously told OK! magazine : "When we started trying for our third early last summer, we thought we'd fall pregnant quickly again.
"We tried for a couple of months and nothing happened."
By that point, Victoria was suffering from aches and pains in her abdomen and was referred for tests which revealed she was suffering from severe endometriosis.
Surgery followed, but still no baby, leaving James and Victoria fearing their chance was gone.
"We didn't think we'd be able to have any more children after two surgeries – we thought our baby-making days were over. Month after month, we'd see negative tests," she said.
"But then we went to the Soap Awards and I didn't fancy drinking, which is unlike me. When we got home I did a test and it was positive – we were so surprised!"
In a separate interview, James opened up about the 'emotional' moment he held his son for the first time, revealing that he jumped into the birthing pool after Victoria cried out for help.
"Being the first to hold Hugo made me so emotional," James told OK!
"We both sat there sobbing with happiness, holding him."
And little Hugo has two very famous godparents in the form of James' EastEnders co-stars Lacey Turner and Davood Ghadami.
James knew who he wanted to choose the minute Hugo was born and was thrilled when Davood, who plays Kush Kazemi, and Lacey accepted.
The actor admitted that Davood - better known as Kush on EastEnders - was probably expecting the invite, explaining how they are 'so close, like each other's shadows."
Davood was also asked to do a speech during the ceremony, which James recounted left the church quiet because it was ‘really engaging’.
James also extended the honour to actress Lacey Turner, but admitted he got a little emotional about speaking to his co-star.
"I took Lacey out for lunch to ask her. I was quite nervous and I was getting choked up asking her," he said.
"Bless her, she was really taken aback and said it was an honour."
