Strictly's Helen Skelton has paid homage to her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez as fans praise her for her "growing confidence".
Saturday night saw the Countryfile presenter and Gorka come top of the leaderboard as they scored an impressive 35 out of 40 points for their Charleston performance to the Blue Peter theme tune. The pair, who have formed a close friendship, made it through to week six of the competition after they impressed the judges and viewers at home.
And after a whirlwind of a weekend, mum-of-three Helen has taken a moment to reflect this morning, on Monday, October 24, as they head into another gruelling week of rehearsals. Taking to Instagram to share a snap of her and Gorka backstage, Helen penned a sweet message thanking fans for their support and of course her dancing partner, she wrote: "Thank you doesn’t quite cut it !!! So grateful for your messages and support.

"Having a blast, learning loads, and trying our hardest to put a smile on your faces. I hope you’re enjoying the journey as much as we are! @gorka_marquez thanks for another great week and for supplying the pics (I am a technophobe so can’t even download the official vids and images)."
Fans and fellow Strictly stars rushed to the comments to praise the couple, with many praising Helen on her "growing confidence."
One fan wrote: "You deserved those marks on Saturday and more. Bring it on for Halloween you'll be sensational." A second added: "Loving your determination to dance better and better each week with your amazing professional partner Gorka Marquez. Stay strong dancing lady." While a third said: "You were fantastic Helen, so much more confidence this week. You looked beautiful."
Gorka himself enthused: "Halloween week! Lets go", alongside two pumpkin emojis, while pro dancer Karen Hauer, who was voted off Sunday night's show alongside dance partner Jayde Adams, said: "Yaaasssss."
