Strictly finalist Helen Skelton has stirred things up by liking a tweet which said that her competitor Fleur East should have won the dancing competition, based on last night's performances.
Helen, 39, and her pro partner Gorka Marquez had been one of the favourites to win the show, but lost out to wildlife presenter Hamza Yassin, 32, and his partner Jowita Przystal.
She also faced off against CBBC star Molly Rainford and singer and radio presenter Fleur East.
Hamza's showdance received the lowest score of the evening, 34, after a few mistakes, but he and Jowita bounced back with their couples choice, for which they received a perfect 40 from the judge.
The cameraman has been a firm favourite with fans throughout the show thanks to his incredible lifts and gentle nature, but former Strictly pro dancer Robin Windsor thought Fleur and her partner Vito Coppola were the rightful winners.
His tweet, which has received 1,251 likes, including from Helen, reads: "Based on tonight fleur and Vito should take home that mirror ball."
Robin later tweeted to congratulate Hamza and Jowita, saying: "tbh all deserving winners for different reasons."
While many were thrilled at Hamza's win, some viewers thought, based on his performance, it should have been someone else.
One wrote: "What a fix! Hamza was the worst of the night #Strictly."
Following Helen's Strictly popularity, reports have claimed BBC bosses intend to transform Helen into their ‘golden girl’ following her star turn on the show.
The Countryfile host and mum-of-three is expected to find herself in front of BBC camera’s more frequently after winning legions of new fans after foxtrotting and jiving over the past three months.
A BBC mole told The Sun on Sunday: “[BBC] bosses want to make her the channel’s new ‘golden girl’.
“She is being lined up for guest presenting slots on the BBC’s The One Show and Morning Live.”
The source added: “Another option is her own show, a very outdoorsy action series.”
Helen and Gorka's friendship captured the heart of the nation and and the duo gushed for each other ahead of the final result on Saturday.
The dance partners were filmed having a heart to heart as they practised their finale show dance in which they performed a dance to the tune of Shine by Emeli Sandé.
Gorka said: "I am very proud of you as I think you’ve grown a lot, and you’re gonna leave this show being a happier person."
While a very tearful Helen wiped her tears and replied: "You can outwardly see how different I am and you have made me remember who I am and that is the biggest and kindest and best thing anyone can ever do for somebody."
