Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez have shone the spotlight on one of Strictly Come Dancing's unsung heroes as fans predict they'll make a return to the top of the leaderboard this weekend.
After a rocky start to their journey on Strictly, with Helen fleeing rehearsals through a fire exit and having to be coxed back in by pro partner Gorka, their scores took an upturn, thanks to some solid performances in Movie Week, with their routine to Hopelessly Devoted to You from Grease and the week after with their pirate themed paso doble, before they had a series high in the BBC 100th Birthday special, when their Charleston to the Blue Peter theme tune earned them a leaderboard-topping score of 35 out of 40.
The judges' scores for their Halloween Week Foxtrot didn't reach the same highs but, Helen and Gorka still did enough to escape the bottom two, as EastEnders actor James Bye was eliminated. They have yet to fall into the bottom to and, after their song and dance for this Saturday night was announced on Tuesday, Strictly fans are predicted their jive to Janelle Monae's TIghtrope will; put them right back near the top.,

As they do every week,. Helen and Gorka have been keeping their social media followers updated with how training has been going, with Helen saying her "legs were like jelly," and Gorka admitting he'd been left 'broken' by rehearsals. When they returned to Instagram on Wednesday, they were joined by a face which may have been unfamiliar to many of their fans - Ash-Leigh Hunter, a dancer who has choreographed a number of riutines on Strictly.
Ash-Leigh's Instagram bio describes her as a Professional Dancer / Choreographer, with her listing Strictly Come Dancing, So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars Australia and South Africa as the shows she's worked on. Ash-Leigh posted a selfie of her, Helen and Gorka on her Instagram telling her followers she'd had 'a great session' with the hotly tipped couple, which Countryfile star and former finalist Gorka then both shared to their Insta stories.
