Strictly's Hamza Yassin has injury 'rehab' before semi final and gives candid Instagram update

Hamza Yassin has been taking action on a niggling injury ahead of this weekend's Strictly semi final as he remains the bookies favourite to win..

Wildlife cameraman Hamza has been the revelation of Strictly' s new series. When the line-up was announced and the celebs and their professional partners geared up for the first live show, Hamza's odds of winning were rated as far down as 25/1, but for weeks now and thanks to some amazing performances in the BBC ballroom, he has been the frontrunner in the eyes of every single bookmaker.

Memorable routines from Hamza and pro partner Jowita Pryzstal so far include their samba to Sash's Ecuador, their American Smooth in Blackpool to New York, New York and the Couple's Choice to Jerusalema, which moved judge Motsi Mabuse to tears. While Hamza and Jowita weren't top of the leaderboard last weekend, with them three points between joint high scorers Will Mellor and Helen Skelton, they remain the hot tip to win next week.

Helen Skelton has been gaining on Hamza in recent weeks and is currently on 11/98, but it's still Hamza and Jowita out in front on 8/13. As, as they rehearse two dances for Sunday's semi final, Hamza has given fans a candid update on how things have been going in training, with a series of posts on his Instagram story.

In one video, he turned the camera round so his followers could see how much he was 'sweating' after a few hours of rehearsals and then posted a photo of himself wearing a leg compression pump telling fans he was having 'a bit of rehab.'

Earlier in the series Hamza suffered an injury blow when he suffered an injury to his knee in training, concerning fans a few weeks later when he realised he'd had to tape up his knees in training as rehearsals were taking their toll.
