Fleur East is being tipped to the the victim of a 'cruel' Strictly Come Dancing twist, with her being favourite to get the boot this weekend, just a week after she topped the leaderboard.
As soon as the line-up for the new series of Strictly was confirmed, both fans and bookies earmarked Fleur was the one to beat, with her immediately installed as favourite to win. However, after she and pro partner Vito Coppola were left in the shadow of Will Mellor and Hamza Yassin after their amazing week one performances, Fleur slipped down the odds, just as viewers were accusing the judges of 'undermarking' her , taking aim at head judge Shirley Ballas.
Fleur and Vito also had to deal with the blow of being in the dreaded dance-off twice but, were left smiling from ear to ear after their samba last weekend to Arrow classic Hot, Hot, Hot. The couple burned up the dancefloor with their red hot routine which left judge Motsi Mabuse in tears as she told Fleur: "I'm so proud of you right now. I'm so, so proud of you."
She continued: "You did your work, you did everything and you put everything on that dancefloor and that samba deserves absolutely everything!"

Fleur and Vito's samba earned them a near perfect score of 39 out of 40, putting them at the top of the leaderboard but, as they prepare to do their Couple' Choice routine to a Destiny's Child megamix on Saturday, bookies BetVictor have Fleur as the favourite to be eliminated this weekend on 9/4, just ahead of Kym Marsh on 11/4.
BetVictor spokesperson Sam Boswell said: “Despite topping the leaderboard last week with a score of 39, Fleur is tipped to be eliminated this weekend at 9/4. Fleur and Vito are set to dance a Couple’s Choice to a Destiny’s Child megamix, will it be enough to keep her in for another week?”
“Kym Marsh is second favourite to be eliminated next, at 11/4 and Ellie Taylor comes in at 3/1.”
“In the winners’ market, it looks like Hamza has one hand on the Glitterball trophy, as he comes in at 1/3 and dominated the market for weeks, can anyone stop him? Helen Skelton is second favourite at 7/2, and Will Mellor comes in at 14/1.”
