Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has become a Guinness World Record holder. The professional dancer, who hails from Caerphilly, is the champion of this year's s Strictly: It Takes Two Pro Challenge.
Set by Charleston expert Jenny Thomas and hosted by judge Craig Revel Horwood, the Pro Challenge 2022 saw dancers battle it out to complete the most Back Charleston Kick Steps performed in 30 seconds.
Those taking on the challenge were joined by adjudicator Joanne Brent from Guinness World Records ensuring the pros followed the outlined rules. Amy got 19 kick steps, beating co-stars Dianne Buswell, Lauren Oakley and Jowita Przystal who all got 18.

Meanwhile, Luca Mushtuk and Carlos Gu both got 17, while Johanes Radebe got 15 steps. 17 professionals took part in the challenge all together.
Speaking about her win, Amy said: "I cant believe it! This is for Wales, the first ever Welsh professional to win a pro challenge!"
The Welsh star also shared her thoughts on Instagram, telling her 326k followers: "I can’t believe it, pro challenge 2022 Guinness world record winner."
Amy was flooded with praise from her co-tars with Nancy Xu writing: "Yesssss Girlllll Congratulations," while Jowita added: "Yayyyy!!!! Congratulations darling."
