Strictly partners Nadiya Bychkova and Matt Goss break silence after their show exit

Sunday night’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing saw Bros singer Matt Goss exit the competition with dance partner Nadiyah Bychkova, following a unanimous vote from judges.

Following their departure, Bychkova praised Goss on social media, hailing him “an incredible man”, as she spoke about dancing with him on the show.

The dancer wrote on Instagram: “I am so grateful I got to teach and to dance with this incredible man, a music icon. But more importantly I got to know real you @mattgoss and you are tender, kind and the truest of gentlemen.

“We were stood there, watching Kim dancing in the dance off, and he was saying: ‘as a gentleman, I can’t compete with a lady @marsh_kym, with a friend.’ He loves and cares about each and everyone there @bbcstrictly.

Bychkova, 33, continued: “It was difficult to compete for him, because he didn’t want anyone to leave the competition. He is a real gentleman and more.

“I couldn’t be more proud of you partner. And I feel so lucky now I have a friend like you in this world.”

The pair failed to impress the panel on Sunday, after battling it out in the dance-off against Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima as they were voted in the bottom two.

Goss, 54, sent love back to Bychkova, as he tweeted after leaving the show: “Thanks @NadiyaBychkova for your continued grace & patience. Not only are you a World Champion, you’re a world class teacher!

“If any of you see me out & about please come say hello. Tonight definitely feels like I have an extended family. My deepest love & thanks, Matt #Strictly.”

The former contestant went on to speak about his experience doing the BBC competition, as he wrote: @bbcstrictly was out of my comfort zone but I did gain so much from the experience.”

After receiving supportive comments from fans, Goss added: “This moment alone…reading your comments has given me a sense of deep comfort.

“It was an incredibly big decision to come back to the UK. Thank you for making me feel like I’m home.”
