Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse 'creating own brand of deodorant' as she trademarks her name

Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse could be on a roll… with her own brand of deodorant.

The TV star, 41, has trademarked her name for an anti-perspirant.

A source said: “Motsi is a massive name and there will be loads of interest in her brand. It could be the perfect way to stop unwanted odours during a frantic cha-cha.”

Dancer Motsi has lodged a patent with the UK Intellectual Property Office for a range of hair products, soap and cosmetics. She could be aiming for beauty success like pop star Rihanna, whose Fenty brand is one of the world’s biggest.

Motsi wouldn’t be the first celeb to launch her own deodorant, either – Justin Bieber and Will Smith have previously done the same.

Motsi, who earns around £200,000-a-year on BBC hit Strictly, also plans to make more dough by flogging food supplements such as protein powders.

The trademark – which will stop fraudsters selling on cheap imitations – will remain in place for 10 years.
