Strictly fans say Jayde is 'representing so many of us' as they share happiness at her getting through

Tonight's Strictly Come Dancing results show saw Bristol's Jayde Adams and her partner Karen receive the news that they had made it through to the next week of the competition. Elated, the pair couldn't contain their excitement - and nor could their fans at home.

After last night's performance BBC Radio 2 presenter Kate Bottley tweeted: "It's been a strange and tough old week for me, so I needed tonight's #Strictly. I cried big fat happy tears twice. At @jaydeadams and her utter joy and just how fierce she looked and at @TonyAdams and his complete surrender to looking daft for the entertainment of others."

To which @purdue14 tweeted: "You're a good person Kate. Jayde and Tony perfectly illustrate what Strictly should be. They're entertaining us, but also representing so many of us."

Others were pleased that the news meant they would get to see another performance from the comedian next week, with one viewer tweeting that she was "pure joy" to watch. @JackieSmith_nmc tweeted: "For me, Tony and Jayde going through Strictly has made my day!"

While @TanishaChloe_x said: "Jayde and Karen are such fantastic vibes I am obsessed with the pair of them." And @turbowag wrote: "Karen is stunning and has done wonders for Jayde's confidence."

Others loved the reaction the pair had on making it through to next week. This evening's results show saw a farewell to Richie and Giovanni who found themselves in the bottom two alongside Fleur and Vito. Both couples performed renditions of Disney classics (The Lion King and The Little Mermaid respectively) but it was the end of the road for Richie and Giovanni.

Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
